Ombre Brows
Ombre brows are the perfect choice for a subtle, powdered finish with long-lasting definition. This technique uses gentle shading to create a gradient effect which is lighter at the front of the brows and gradually darker towards the tail. The result is a beautifully blended, filled in look that looks more delicate than makeup.
Frequently Asked Questions...
How Long Do These Treatments Last?
Semi Permanent Brow Treatments can last up to 3 years, the longevity can depend on several factors including; skin type, aftercare being followed and a clients exposure to the sun. We encourage for clients to come for a top up after 12-18 months, to ensure the results remain crisp.
Is The Treatment Painful?
People find that this treatment is more 'slightly uncomfortable' than 'painful'. Clients are welcome to apply a numbing cream prior to their treatment, these can be purchased from a pharmacy for less than £5. We then apply our numbing cream during the treatment, to maintain client comfort.
What Is The Healing Process Like?
Day 1–3: Initial Healing Phase
Your brows will appear dark right after the procedure, which is normal. The colour will soften by 30-50% once fully healed. Clients can expect mild swelling or redness for a day.
Day 4–7: Scabbing and Peeling
The brows will begin to flake and peel as the skin healing process begins. Clients may feel some itching as the skin regenerates but it’s important not to scratch or pick at the area, as this can pull the pigment out (which we don’t want!).
Week 2–3: Recovery and Settling
Any scabs and flakes should have fallen out by this stage and the colour will lighten after 2 weeks of the treatment. The skin will feel fully healed on the surface, though clients may still experience some dryness or sensitivity.
Week 4–6: Final Healing
In the final stage of the healing process, the pigment will resurface and settle at the finished colour. The skin should no longer be sensitive, and the pigment should have settled nicely into the skin.
Is There Any Downtime After The Treatment?
There is no downtime from this treatment, clients can return to work and daily activities straight away. However, clients must avoid swimming pools, sunbeds, sun bathing, saunas, steam rooms and excessive sweating for 1-2 weeks after the treatment. This is because sweat, chlorine and UV can irritate and inflame the skin.
Why Will I Need A Top Up Appointment?
Some areas of the brows may retain less pigment due to scabbing, skin type, or the aftercare followed, resulting in patchy or uneven spots. The top up appointment allows us to assess how the clients skin has taken the pigment, where requires more pigment adding, or if any tweaks need to be made to the shape etc. Skipping the top up can result in the brows fading unevenly or not lasting as long.
